This Privacy Policy explains how RevealQuiz ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use revealquiz.com (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with transparency and care.

1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the Service. When you create a quiz, the following information is stored:
- Names you enter for quiz participants (e.g. parent names)
- Quiz questions and answers you create
- The reveal content you choose to share (e.g. baby name, college name, or custom news)
- Any image you voluntarily upload to display on the reveal screen
- A unique, randomly generated identifier (slug) used to generate your quiz link
- The quiz type (e.g. gender reveal, baby name reveal)
We do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any account information
- IP addresses or device identifiers
- The identities of people who answer your quiz
- How many times your quiz has been viewed or answered
- Payment or financial information of any kind
2. How We Use Your Information
The information you provide is used solely to generate and deliver your quiz to recipients via a unique link. We do not use your quiz content for any other purpose, including marketing, profiling, or analytics.
3. Data Storage and Security
Quiz data is stored securely using Supabase, a third-party database provider. Data is stored on servers within the European Union. Supabase employs industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your data to third parties, except as required to operate the Service (i.e. our database provider).
4. Data Retention
Quiz data is automatically and permanently deleted 365 days after creation. This applies to all quiz content including questions, answers, names, and any uploaded images. After deletion, quiz links will no longer function. If you wish to have your quiz data deleted before the 365-day period, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.
5. Uploaded Images
If you choose to upload a photo to display on your reveal screen, that image is stored as part of your quiz data. It is accessible to anyone who has your quiz link. Do not upload images containing sensitive personal information beyond what you intend to share with your recipients.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We do not currently use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools that identify individual users. We may in the future introduce privacy-respecting analytics (such as aggregate page view counts) and will update this policy accordingly.
7. Advertising
We do not currently display advertisements on the Service. We may introduce advertising in the future. Should we do so, we will update this Privacy Policy before any advertising is implemented. Any advertising partners we work with will be required to comply with applicable privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA. We will not share personally identifiable information with advertisers.
